![]() Case Studies Select from the list below to view case studies of how some clients have made improvements using SDD Systems technology. Case Study: Oakwood Corporate Housing Microsoft illustrates how Oakwood Corporate Housing slashed telephone call accounting costs by 75% and boosted tenant telephone revenues by $500,000 with the implementation of a JAZZ Enterprise Communications Accounting system. JAZZ Enterprise enabled Oakwood to remove individual call accounting servers from their properties and manage tenant telecommunications in an integrated way. Case Study: Hawk's Cay Resort SDD's JAZZ communications accounting software operates under Windows Terminal Server Edition at Hawk's Cay Resort in the Florida Keys. In this environment, implementation of JAZZ allows centralized processing and data storage. The Terminal Server approach lowers costs by operating on inexpensive "thin" client terminals, eliminates individual client software installations, and reduces and centralizes technical support personnel. Case Study: Hotel Hershey The Hotel Hershey is one of several magnificent resorts located in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Milton Hershey built the exquisite Hotel Hershey during the great depression in memory of his wife. Today the Hotel Hershey is a Mobil Award winning, four-star hotel with 249 rooms, extensive meeting spaces, with a convention center and additional recreational facilities nearby. Given the Hotel's luxurious accommodations and amenities, it became a great attraction for families and travelers and continues to be a "must see" resort and town. Due to this, the Hotel Hershey was presented with some challenges with maintaining all sources of revenue, especially their telecom revenue. Case Study: NCI Nationwide Credit, Inc. (NCI) is the largest debt collection call center in the United States with more than 13 locations nationwide. NCI's employees are responsible for generating over 170,000 collection calls per day. The stand-alone system was located in the phone room along with the PBX and was found to be unreliable. All reports were run from the stand-alone call accounting system at each location and provided limited data for that location. The Dialer system did not interoperate with the PBX or stand-alone system and produced its own reports that did not correlate with the call accounting reports. Case Study: New Yorker Hotel In the 1940s, it was the first thing you saw from across the river. When your car approached the Lincoln Tunnel on your way into New York City the New Yorker Hotel beckoned travellers to the city. It made front page news in the 1980s when the Unification Church took it over. Now, six years after a new management group announced the remaking of the New Yorker Hotel, the 1,000-room art deco edifice across Eighth Avenue from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden in Manhattan is run as a convenient business destination, just three blocks from the Jacob Javits convention center. Case Study: Boca Raton Resort & Club Seeking a way to increase telephone revenue and reduce operating costs, the Boca Raton Resort & Club in Florida turned to SDD, a Florida-based software company specializing in communications accounting Systems for larger hotels in the lodging industry. The result: installation of a proven A/S 400 based communications accounting system which would act as the test site for development of a client-server based communications accounting system operating under Microsoft Windows and Windows 95 and integrating with Microsoft's SQL Server. |
